PSA: TBDSSAB Cheques Available for Pick-Up Due to Possible Canada Post Strike
May 22, 2025 – The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) is taking steps to limit delays to cheque payments related to the possible Canada Post mail disruption.
Starting May 22, cheques and other mail will be available for pick-up only. Mail services are on hold until further notice.
Monthly cheques issued by TBDSSAB for June 2025 will be available for pick-up between May 29 and May 30. This includes cheques payable to Ontario Works recipients, landlords, and vendors. Payment arranged through electronic means will remain unaffected.
Cheques can be picked up on the following dates and times:
- Thunder Bay and surrounding area:
- May 29 & 30, 9am – 3:30pm
- Thunder Bay Office: 231 May Street S.
- District Communities:
- May 30, 9am – 3:30pm
- Nipigon: 36 First Street, Unit B
- Greenstone: Geraldton Office, 423 Main Street, Unit 2
- Schreiber: 204 Alberta Street, Room 137
- Marathon/Manitouwadge: Marathon Office, 52 Peninsula Square, Suite 1
