Media Release : TBDSSAB welcomes incoming 2026 Board leadership
January 5, 2026 – The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) is welcoming a new Chair and Vice Chair for 2026.
At the December 2025 meeting, the Board elected Jim Vezina to Chair, with Kathleen Lynch replacing him as Vice Chair. The 2026 term took effect January 1, 2026.
Both Jim Vezina and Kathleen Lynch joined the Board in 2023. Jim served as Vice Chair in 2025. Outgoing Chair Brian Hamilton has been on the Board of Directors since 2019, serving as Chair from 2024 to 2025.
As regulated under the District Social Services Administration Boards Act, the TBDSSAB Board of Directors consists of 14 members who are elected officials. Thirteen Board Members within the District of Thunder Bay are appointed by their municipal councils, while one TBDSSAB member from within the Territory Without Municipal Organization (TWOMO) is selected by qualified electors of that territory for a four-year term.
