Situations in which telephone screening may be by-passed
  • The applicant appears to be having difficulty understanding or responding to the questions being asked
  • The applicant is hearing impaired
  • The applicant's responses are difficult to understand
  • The applicant indicates a high level of difficulty in responding to screening questions
  • The applicant does not communicate in English
  • The applicant is in a crisis or emergency situation (the applicant may be connected with 911)
